Congressional elections: Qualifying deadline was March 1 and those qualifying as Republican Candidates for the 1st Congressional District House of Representatives are Angela McGlowan - www. mcglowanforcongress .com, Alan Nunnelee - www.NunneleeforCongress.com, and Henry Ross - www. henryrossforcongress .com.

Calhoun County will have a Republican Primary only since there is only one Democrat candidate.

The Republican Primary will be Tuesday June 1,

The primary runoff, if required will be Tuesday,June 22.

General Election will be Tuesday November 2 and will include Judicial candidates, school board candidates along with Republican and Democrat candidates for the 1st Congressional District House of Representatives.
